This recipe was supposed to be posted in March…but it is tasty enough for anytime of year so, despite this Mom’s lateness, we’re still sharing. It’s a good one for older kids because of the red cabbage and onion slicing. Younger kids can cut up the sausage and help with the measuring and tossing.

Kids Cooking Recipe: Roasted Red Cabbage with Polish Sausage
- 1 Head of Red Cabbage
- 1 Red Onion
- 1 Ring of Polish Sausage
- 4 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 teaspoons celery seed
- 2 teaspoons mustard seed
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- Slice the cabbage and the onion into thin slices.
- Slice the sausage into chunks.
- Mix in the rest of ingredients and toss together with the cabbage and sausage into a glass baking pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes.
