We all have to admit that Moms are probably the most wonderful people in our lives.  Moms love us no matter what!  They give us hugs when we are feeling sad and always make us feel better.  I think my mom is the coolest person in the whole wide world!!  I also know that she would love a special and thoughtful gift for Mother’s day.

Here are three fantastic, easy and fun gift ideas from around the web for Mom!  Ask an adult (maybe dad or an aunt or uncle??) to please join in the Mother’s day gift fun!!  Ready….Set……Go!!!

Mother’s Day Gift Idea #1
Handprint Flower Canvas Totebag – This is a fun craft that mom will love and use from Parents.com.

You could use this same technique on a t-shirt or dish towel!  Get the details on how to make this cute tote at Parents.com.

Mother’s Day Gift Idea #2  – This is a super cute idea from WomansDay.com
Curlicue Card

Supplies: Construction paper, scissors, glue, ribbon

This project is a great way to use up construction paper scraps to make a treasured work of art…find the details on how to make it at WomensDay.com!

Mother’s Day Gift Idea #3 – You know we’re fans of the shaped pancake, but this time MarthaStewart.com was the inspiration.

Heart-Shaped Pancake Breakfast

Supplies: Pastry bag to pipe batter with, or a squeezy bottle like Alex & Soph use in our pancake episode.  You could also use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to pour batter into.

2 Cups Sifted All-Purpose Flour
2 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Sugar
1 Egg
1 1/2 Cups Milk
3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil

1 tablespoon butter for pan/griddle

Preheat griddle pan.  Sift the flour, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk the sugar, egg, milk and oil. Combine the dry ingredients and the liquid ingredients. Do not over mix– Batter will be a bit lumpy.

Add 1 TBSP butter to the heated griddle pan.

Fill pastry bag fitted with ¼ inch plain round tip with batter and twist end of bag and secure with a rubber band–OR, fill your squeezy bottle.  Working in batches, pipe heart shapes onto griddle, flipping when ready. Repeat!

When you are finished, garnish with fresh fruit and whipped cream or whatever toppings you think Mom might fancy!!

So there you have it, three wonderful ways to celebrate Mom and show her how much you love and appreciate her!  I think I might do all three projects!!

Happy Mother’s Day to All Moms and Caretakers all over the World!!
