Fathers day is approaching quickly and it is always hard to come up with an original and useable gift idea, here are a few simple suggestions for the Dad who likes to grill.
You can purchase plain ready to paint aprons at Michael’s or JoAnn’s, as well as a wide assortment of fabric paints. Then let the kids go wild making an original grilling apron for Dad!
Grillin’ Gear Holder:
Most families have a bucket like an ice cream pail laying around. I thought it would be cool to get some puffy paints and let the kids decorate the bucket, then fill it with necessities for grilling, like a lighter stick, grill brush , lighter fluid, a cool original grilling apron, and maybe a hot mitt personalized just for dad with some fabric paints!
If your bucket has a lid, you can decorate the lid as well that, too, and keep everything dry & in one spot when Dad needs it for grilling.
If Dad isn’t a griller, another fun idea is to decorate a mug–Most dads drink coffee, or hot chocolate:)
I found a wonderful, everything you need, kit at Michael’s to do just that! It came complete with mug and glass paints. All you need to supply is the kids to do the decorating and the Fathers day gift is a wrap!
These crafty ideas are something all ages can do. Even little ones can stamp and hand print on the apron or bucket. Let the creative ideas flow and have fun making your gifts for Dad–I know he’ll love them!
