Soy Wasabi Dressing

Soy Wasabi Dressing

When I hear ‘Dressing’ I typically think of salad, but the fact is, dressing isn’t just for lettuce.  This dressing recipe, from Aunt Dani, is perfect eating with fish.  It would be awesome with a fresh tuna steak and avocado for sure.  When I made it though, my budget was more inline with tuna patties, as you can see in the picture.  I would go well with an asian style chicken as well…even pork.

The dressing has a bright citrus punch and even with the tabasco and wasabi it’s not too spicy. Honestly, some kids might not like it, but those with a love of the citrus sour will.

Even if the kids won’t eat it, they will have fun making it. It’s easy and quick to whip up and adds a bit of fanciness to a plain dish.

Let us know what you think of it!

Soy Wasabi Dressing

Soy Wasabi Dressing

  • 1/4 c olive oil
  • zest of 2 limes
  • juice of limes (about 6 Tbsp)
  • 2 tsp wasabi powder
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • few dashes tabasco

  • First, zest your limes. An older kid can help with this job.
  • Next, cut your limes in half and do some juicing. Not for the littlest of helpers to do, but most kids love juicing citrus.
  • Finally, measure and pour all the ingredients together. This is good for kids of all ages, even little ones can help pour stuff in.
  • Whisk it all together and you're good to go!
