Wanna Win a Trip to Disney World? Here’s How…

Posted by the Mom (aka Kelly Biedny)

Of course you want a chance at a free Disney Vacation! Right? Well, if you’ve got kids who love to share their knowledge of how stuff works…you could win a Family Vacation to Walt Disney World®, courtesy of American Home Shield (AHS).

AHS is holding a contest called ‘Kidstructions‘ that involves kids explaining how stuff works.  To enter, all you have to do is get out your phone, and record your super smart kid sharing their custom explanation of how particular home system or appliance works. Then, just upload it to YouTube.com and fill out the entry form…it’s that easy! Kids from age 18 months up to 12 years are eligible to share their wisdom.

The contest has two stages of voting; the first is open to the public and the 7 entries that get the most votes move on to stage two.  This means, once you’ve uploaded your video to YouTube.com, be sure to share it with all your family and friends on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Pinterest–all your social media. That way you’ll be sure they see it and can vote you and your family to the top.

If you make it to stage two, the American Home Shield judges will review your video based on creativity, originality, appropriateness to theme, and quality of expression.  I guess that means you should be creative, which knowing all our readers shouldn’t be a problem ;D

If you like to know what you’re up against, or just want to provide your kids an example, you can check out your competition at the contest site where there’s a gallery of current entries.

In addition to the Disney Vacation, other prizes include $2,500 U.S. savings bonds and free one-year home protection plans through American Home Shield.  BUT, you have to enter by March 14, 2014, so get your kids rounded up and get your creative thinking caps on.  A little family team-work and you could be heading out on a Disney World vacation!

For more details and contest rules, head over to the Kidstructions contest site.

Good Luck Everyone!

Kelly, Alex and Sophia

P.S. Let us know if you submit a video so we can check it out and vote!
