Local Kids Cooking Show Brings Family Cooking Fun to the Small Screen: Suburban Community Channels TV 15 Premieres Two Kids Cooking

White Bear Lake, MN — October 13, 2011 — If you’re looking for some ways to spend quality time with your kids, tuning into Two Kids Cooking will provide ideas to get the whole family having fun together in the kitchen. In their premiere, Kelly, Alex and Sophia are all dressed up for Halloween and ready to whip up some spookily-delicious treats.

Two Kids Cooking is filmed from the family’s home kitchen in White Bear Lake, MN. The show has been airing online at TwoKidsCooking.com since 2009, sharing recipes, ideas and a little bit of craziness with their growing audience. Beginning October 14, they’ll be expanding their typical 3 to 8 minute webisodes to include longer format monthly episodes for their local community access TV station, Suburban Community Channels. Two Kids Cooking will air on Channel 15 in October on the following dates and times: Friday, Oct. 14 at 2pm; Sunday, Oct. 16 at 1pm; Saturday, Oct. 22 at 11am; Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1pm; Friday, Oct. 23 at 2pm; Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11am; Sunday, Oct. 30 at 1pm and Monday, Oct. 31 at 2:00pm on Suburban Community Channels TV 15.

“We’re super excited to expand our show to TV,” announced Kelly Biedny, the Mom who cooks alongside the ‘two kids’ on the show—son, Alex (age 12) and daughter, Sophia (age 8). “Sharing our recipes and ideas on our community access station is allowing us to spread our message locally and get families excited to spend time together cooking and enjoying good food.”

Two Kids Cooking online began with a conversation while Alex, Sophia and Kelly were cooking dinner one evening. Their love of watching cooking shows had begun to spill over into the activity of cooking itself when Sophia started taking the family’s imaginary ‘viewers’ to ‘break’ while they were preparing meals.  Alex jokingly suggested that they should have their own cooking show; he even drew up some preliminary logo ideas. The kids’ enthusiasm rubbed off on Mom. She put her skills as a web developer to use and they were online with their first webisode in August of 2009. You can see all of their past episodes and find lots of tips and ideas for family cooking fun online at TwoKidsCooking.com.
