That chili recipe from Wayne’s Party –


Here it is finally 😀

Vegetable Oil
1/2 cup diced onion
1 1/3 cup diced green bell peppers
2 T jalapeno peppers, diced (optional – I did not add this)
3 T minced garlic
4 1/2 cups water
2 1/2 to 3 T chicken bouillon powder
2 tsp lime juice
2 T Sugar
3 T corn starch
3 T ground cumin
2 1/2 T chili powder
1 1/3 T paprika
1 1/3 T dried basil
2 tsp minced fresh cilantro (optional – I did not add this)
1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp ground oregano
1/2 cup canned crushed tomatillos (optional – I did not add these because Appleton had none)
1 four ounce can diced green chiles, drained
2 fifteen ounce cans navy or small white bans, rinsed and drained
1 fifteen ounce can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
3 pounds cooked chicken breast, diced

Instructions: In a 5 qrt container, saute the onions green pepper, jalapeno and garlic, using up to 1/4 cup vegetable oil.

In a large bowl, combine the water, chicken bouillon powder, lime juice, sugar, cornstarch, cumin, chili powder, paprika, basil, cilantro, cayenne, pepper and oregano. Add to vegetable mixture.

Add tomatillos and green chiles to the pot and bring to a boil. Add the navy and kidney bean and chicken and simmer for 10 minutes.
