We originally shared this recipe for Shrimp with Lemon Garlic Sauce back in January, but in honor of Kids Cook Monday, we’re sharing it again. It is one of our favorites.
In addition to being healthy, it’s also easy to make as a family. It’s never to early to get the kids in the kitchen, learning how to cook and having lots of fun.
Shrimp with Lemon Garlic Sauce
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 cloves of garlic
1/4 cup Lemon Juice
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
1 Cup Chicken Broth
1 to 2 tsp Olive Oil
Instructions
Rinse and pat dry the shrimp. Next, heat up a pan with the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic and cook until fragrant, just a few seconds. Then, add the shrimp, cooking and stirring until all of the shrimp are pink. NOTE: Do not over cook the shrimp or they’ll get rubbery. As each shrimp turns pink, remove it from the pan an put it in a bowl. When all the shrimp is done, add the remaining ingredients to the pan and simmer until the liquid reduces by half. Once the sauce is reduced, pour it over the shrimp and you’re ready to serve!
Enjoy!
